So after swichting to another water my IBS has went completely away. One problem less, i can focus now on just eating and gaining weight.
In the past i have experimented with iodine, lugols. It gives me calm energy, when i have enough fat, starch and protein eaten. I take it every 2-3 days to see if it gives me depression because depression is the last thing i need at the moment.
I have found out that the seperation diet is bullshit, next dogma i have fallen in. I have just a weak digestion. I…

If my doctor was just honest with me (or was he just mistaken?), I wouldn't be so mad. When I told him I was breastfeeding, he crumpled up one prescription and said that amoxicillin would be a better choice and wouldn't pass into my breastmilk at all.
Four days after starting on it, I noticed a horrible smell when I was changing Jade's diaper. She has an infection. I went online and sure enough, amoxicillin passes freely into breastmilk, it's just supposed to be completely harmless. Since when…

I saw there were some discussions here lately about supplementing SAMe and methyl donors. I did a trial of folate (L-methylfolate-metafolin from Solgar) for one week, and my experience confirms what Emma is saying - that you have to be very careful with them. The first few days I took a half and later a quarter of the pill (800 mcg) per day. This left me in a pretty bad shape, and the feeling still lasts even though I stopped taking it a week ago. From the first night on I had the most vivid dre…

At the moment i challenge really all things in my life. You can call me obsessed but i really know how small details can impact my health. So for now i checked my mineral water because i often feel fatigued after drinking this stuff. I suspect the high fluoride amount is making me fatigued because the other ingredients should be fine. By the way, my problems (mainly fatigue) got worse as i moved to this appartment. Perhaps it is not just the appartment, which i suspected already, but perhaps it…

Hello everyone,
i recently did a formaldehyde test in my appartment, which is from "Draeger" and available in the drug store. So the result is B-C and the test has a range from A to E. A is clear (under 0,1ppm) and my result (B to C) shows a danger amount of formaldehyde in my appartment. I have read that the formaldehyde emission is rising when temperatur goes up and this could be a reason why i have more problems in the winter, when the windows are closed and heater is on.
I think the lamina…

I can't believe no matter how long it takes, Emma always replies to every post, everywhere. It's amazing. I think in total she got back on four posts of mine the other night and I've noticed a recurring theme. My personal research has been circling around
alkalinity for years; maybe I should actually TRY adding some Hay diet food-combining aspects along with magnet therapy. According to William Philpott, a negative magnetic field alkalizes the body.
Isn't it funny how the most alkaline f…

I just wanted to post this since it might help someone when doing the challenges. I trialled amines recently (after not eating them for more than half a year). First I started with eating cheese and after a few weeks added old meat, salmon etc (just animal foods though). Not eating excessive amounts, I could eat like that for the rest of my life... :) So, the first few weeks I hadn't noticed anything special (only right in the beginning one night of nightmares, I don't know if that counts). Then…

I sent away for Yasko's test in November and had marked January 14 as the day of reckoning--but the company surprised me by sending the results to me much sooner. So, I got back from celebrating Christmas at my parents' house to see a very welcome cardboard envelope sitting in my door.
Dr. Yasko has changed how she expresses SUOX mutations in the results; now, she uses a plus (+) to indicate that one possesses the variant of concern, which is in line with how she indicates all other variants, r…

I support Steph 100% in her decision to close FailsafeNT. She discussed this with me privately some time before going ahead and I helped to push her into the decision.
This is because we feel the group has gone from being "we do the failsafe diet and we want to find out why we need to do the failsafe diet in the context of an NT interpretation", to "we don't do the failsafe diet properly and we want to find out why the failsafe diet is wrong in the context of an NT interpretation."
I probably…

I think I got over ambitious with all of the groups I've created, so I've pared them back to five really relevant ones (newbies, science, alt health, super responders, what am I reacting to).

Won't be around for a few days! I'm falling behind on my writing, and I also have a pretty important blog post I need to write that I think will help explain a few things.

I've generally puzzled over the observations that Failsafers generally do better in the summer, apparently as a result of improved vitamin D status. I'm finding I'm less tolerant in the summer. I had done a search on salicylate toxicity and the Merck website had some interesting things to say.
http://www.merck.com/mmpe/sec21/ch326/ch326d.html
"Salicylates are weak acids that cross cell membranes relatively easily; thus, they are more toxic when blood pH is low. Dehydration, hyperthermia, and c…

I seem to have no will power. I've know about failsafe for a year and a half. I've started the elimination diet 3 times. The first 2 times I didn't even make it a week. The third time I decided to do it about 95% first and then go down to 100%. I made it about a month at 95%. I started to have a lot more energy and my skin and hair started to become oily again (they've been severely dry for almost 5 years now). Then I went off again somehow.
My main problem is that I can't seem to resist tempta…
