The following alternative health treatments, fads and diets are considered to be either a waste of time, a waste of money, myths, scams, bad science, or actively harmful when prescribed for the "treatment" of food chemical intolerance, celiac disease, autism, ADHD, asthma, eczema, pseudo-candida, fibromyalgia, &etc.
- Chronic/systemic candida and the candida diet
- Chronic lyme disease and treatments
- Morgellon's disease
- The GFCF diet
- The GAPS diet

- Other dysbiosis treatments including probiotics, kefir, kombucha tea, and other live ferments
- The WAPF/Nourishing Traditions diet
- Chelation therapy and heavy metal recovery
- Vitamin deficiencies as a cause of food chemical intolerance &etc

- The Marshall Protocol (vitamin D avoidance)
- NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) and similar alternative therapies
- Colour therapy

- Epsom salt baths
A number of these treatments have peculiar side effects and placebo effects that can sometimes cause accidental improvements in people's symptoms. They do not in and of themselves effect a cure, nor do they point towards an alleged cause of food chemical intolerance.
It is possible to have some of the listed diseases (i.e. candida, dysbiosis) but they are
caused by food chemical intolerance rather than being
causes of food chemical intolerance.
It is possible to be intolerant of foods avoided on some of the above diets, but these foods are not the cause of food chemical intolerance, merely a part of food chemcial intolerance.
